The Lindy HDMI & IR over IP extender is a complete, low cost solution for extending HDMI signals across long distances via a local network setup. As a point to point connection, the extender supports distances up to 100m using Cat.6 cable, or when combined with a network switch can be expanded for much larger distribution systems with up to 3 layers of network equipment. Adding additional receivers (38129) provides additional flexibility to the setup to distribute content into various locations or displays at distance, great for use in retail, connected office installations or educational setups. For 1 to many and many to many set-ups, a managed network switch is required to be able to distribute data streams. Supporting resolutions up to Full HD 1920×1080@60Hz 4:4:4 8bit, this extender provides high quality content, perfect for eye catching digital signage, premium residential installations or AV distribution in hospitality. IR extension also provide simple control via an included IR emitter and receiver cable using an IR remote. Please Note: Either use a dedicated network, or network components which support port based VLAN. Please Note: The HDMI over IP Extender distributes in full 1080p resolution using a form of video compression which is barely perceptible. Presentations and static desktop displays/images will have a similar loss of sharpness similar to standard JPEG compression.
