The caller journey

  1. A caller reaches your main business number.
  2. A short greeting introduces the business.
  3. Opening hours choose the working-day or closed route.
  4. A simple menu offers reception and appointments.
  5. The team answers, or a deliberate fallback takes over.
  6. Outside hours, the caller hears a separate message before voicemail.

Set up your teams

Start with two teams and six example extensions. Rename them, change the team size and assign a site in the inspector. Every change updates the design estimate.

When the team is busy

Try the busy-team and no-answer scenarios. Check whether the next route should be a queue, another team or a message, and choose the waiting time.

Keep a copy of your plan

Share the design, export its structured data and download the system overview. Continue through the example order and see its progress in the customer account.

Questions about this starting design

Can this include specialist software?

Use the integrations catalogue to describe the workflow. Clinical systems, booking platforms and other specialist software require a separately agreed and tested connection.

How should we handle sensitive calls?

Decide recording notices, permissions, retention and message access as part of your real service design. No audio or personal customer records are collected by this simulator.

What happens in an outage?

Test the site-offline scenario and review the fallback. A real continuity plan also covers working power, connectivity and alternative emergency contact.
